SnapForge is made by SharpHaw. This page explains what data the site handles and why.
Your projects stay in your browser
Screenshots, recordings, drafts and exports are processed and stored on your device, in your browser's storage. SnapForge has no accounts and never uploads your media.
Analytics, only if you accept
If you accept analytics cookies, SnapForge loads PostHog, hosted in the EU, to count visits and see which tools get used. It records page views and page leaves only: no session recording, autocapture, heatmaps or page content. If you decline, PostHog is never loaded. Your choice is kept in your browser for 180 days, and you can change it any time from Cookie settings in the footer.
Photo search
When you search Unsplash backgrounds, your search terms go through SnapForge's server to Unsplash, and the photos load from Unsplash's servers. The server counts requests per IP address, in memory only, to share the Unsplash quota fairly.
Hosting
SnapForge is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to serve the site and keep it secure.
